Description This new Carcassi Deluxe was supplied by one of our occasional Romanian suppliers. The overbuilt top and bass bar were regraduated and the bass bar reduced in size to more efficient proportions. The woods used are quite nice, especially the Carpatian spruce top, which features bold grain line definition and a fair amount of hazelfichte scattered along much of the centerline join area. It features a strong taptone. The moderately flame figured Carpatian maple neck, ribs, and back plate also feature strong, muscular tap tones. The tuning machines are dark finish Rubner individual units. The endpin is a deluxe version of the Ebony and brass unit with 10 mm steel rod. The varnish finish is a light brown-amber that shows off the wood figure to good effect. Dimensions are: Top length 44 1/4″, Upper bout width 20 3/4″, Middle bout width 15 1/2″, Lower bout width 27 1/2″, Rib depth at tail 8 7/8″, Rib depth at upper bout 8″, Rib depth at neck 6 1/2″, String length 41 7/8″.
