Aluminum Can Crusher, 24 Oz / 16 Oz / 12 Oz Can Crusher, Heavy Duty Pneumatic Cylinder Soda Beer Can Smasher, Recycling Tool (Countertop Button Valve)

I purchased this specifically to crush 24oz cans as it specified it does. Yes absolutely it does! This will crush a 24 oz very well and a 12oz is like a hot knife through butter. If anyone has a question as to what size compressor can be used: I did in fact use a small portable compressor from Lowes with about a 1.5-2 gal tank that runs on 120volt AC. It did work and I crushed just a few 24oz cans. So yes if you crush a small amount at a time maybe 6 max. A small (tank size) compressor will do it. You might have to slow down a bit for the compressor to catch up but a few at a time should ok. More than than and it might over work a small compressor though so keep that in mind. I also have a 60gal automotive shop air compressor which I crushed a large garbage full within a short time and only stopped for the short time to gather more cans and deal with the through put. I give it an absolute recommendation and for the price it is a bargain to simply smash a button and it does the crushing. I would almost recommend buying a compressor if you don’t have one just to run this crusher but I know that depends on how much you have to crush. It is a joyful reward to use this crusher. Definitely keep fingers clear as I goofed around clearing a stuck can and got a couple love taps on the rebound and based on that I would say it will break a finder very easily. I am going to keep my digits out of there when it is moving for sure from now on. Since I am on that I only had 24oz cans get stuck after being crushed. I would say just due to the size of them and anything smaller did not get stuck and was crushed very compact. The 24oz cans get crushed down very well probably around 1 inch and usually fairly evenly but yeah sometimes a little crooked and then get wedged in the frame or wrap around the crushing disc itself. Not a big deal at all. If they made the disc a square and it was closer to the the size of the frame It would improve performance at least on 24oz cans. My next recycling trip will pay for most of this crusher if not all of it, so I am happy with purchase as it will make future crushing much easier and faster. I say get it and crush away.
