Due to the seat being reclined back, the seat will interfere with the firewall if it adjusted all the way back and lower than the highest setting. TO PREVENT DAMAGING YOUR SEAT, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE REAR CLEARANCE BEFORE LOWERING THE SEAT HEIGHT.Seat at highest position: 8.5″ of forward to back movement (full range)Seat at middle height position: 7.5″ of forward to back movement (12% less)Seat at lowest position: 6.5″ of forward to back movement (24% less)Installation InstructionsStep 1: Disconnect BatteryRemove panel in trunk to access battery. Disconnect NEGATIVE (-) terminal using 10mm wrench.View fullsizeStep 2: Remove Seat BoltsUse the E12 socket to remove all four seat bolts. Slide seat all the way back to access bolts 1&2. Slide seat all the way forward to access bolts 3&4View fullsizeStep 3: Unbolt SeatbeltUse the 17mm wrench to remove seat belt from seat. A plastic cap will need to be pulled off first.Step 4: Disconnect Yellow PlugUnder the seat, disconnect the yellow plug by first pulling up on the black tab to unlock it.Drape a towel over the side sill to prevent scratches and carefully remove seat.View fullsizeStep 5: Unbolt Pivoting ArmRemove bolt from the pivoting arm on both sides using the 16mm wrench and 8mm Allen.View fullsizeStep 6: Install Seat Recliner BracketsInstall recliner brackets as shown. Start threading the supplied M6 bolt into the bracket through the small hole in the seat rail, but do not tighten. On the right side, you will need to remove a wire harness clip. You can leave it loose or tie it off. Install supplied M10 bolt through seat rail and bracket. Secure with M10 washer and Nyloc nut , but do not tighten. Once both bolts are in place, tighten down the M6 bolt to 72 in lbs (or hand tight), then the M10 bolt to 30 ft lbs.Install pivoting arm to the riser with the shouldered part of the bolt on the plastic bushing. If installed correctly, the nut will be on the inside of the seat (opposite of how it was originally). Use medium strength thread locker on this nut and bolt and torque to 30 ft bs.Step 7: Reinstall SeatFollow directions in reverse to reinstall seat.NOTE: Hardware in install photos may look different than you were supplied. Hardware shown under “kit contents” at the top of this page are accurate.
