This is a Ebony Viola Saddle. It is a deep black colour and the quality is far greater than Chinese ones where there is a ‘faded’ look to the Ebony. This is for a 4/4 size and could be trimmed to suit any other violin. Excellent for a restoration project and high-end violin repairs. Saddle is 36mm long 6.5mm wide 8mm high approx. Of course each would be shaped for the job in hand. Like all our violin fittings, these exact fittings have been supplied in the past to numerous string workshops over England, and are used on many of those workshop’s finest violins.
