$35.62 $44.17
1967 Ampeg B-15N Black Smooth Tolex 1 Owner w/ Warranty Card VIDEO DESCRIPTION Several years ago, we sold what we *thought* was the nicest Ampeg B-15N we had ever seen to a well-known studio in LA for $4500… that is, until we saw this one. Storytime: a good friend of (and a massive collector) brought this 1967 B-15NF to us. He met an elderly lady whose husband had passed away many years ago and wanted to sell his bass and amp. When he went to her house where she had lived since the 60’s, she opened a closet and pulled back the blanket that was covering a couple of large square objects: A mint Fender Precision perfectly preserved in its case, and this Ampeg B-15N which was bought together with the bass brand new in 1967. Our collector friend bought both from her but only wanted the bass, and sold this incredible Ampeg to us. As huge B-15N lovers (who isn’t?) we are proud to offer not only one of the cleanest examples in circulation, but also one of the best and rarest renditions of the B-15N. In 1968, the design of the B-15N was changed. This B-15NF produced in 1967 sports the ’67-only smooth black tolex with the iconic light-up lucite panel and chrome chassis. Also the B-15NF variation that ran 1965-67 utilized a desirable single-baffled porting structure and fixed-bias power tube circuit that brought the power output from 25 watts to around 30 watts, making this the most power B-15N that was built. Included is the original warranty card and user booklet. Also, this amp was featured in Five Watt World’s YouTube mini-doc “The Ampeg B 15 Bass Amp: A Short History” which can be seen here (watch for playing demo of this amp!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cr3fPFWgueo If you’ve been looking for the perfect B-15 museum piece for your studio, you’ve found it. Yes, we know it costs more than a common ratty, beat-up B-15 – but this is a true museum piece. Get it before it gets snatched into a collection and never circulates again! SPECS Weight: 79.6 Case: No Condition: Excellent condition with some minor markings in the tolex and a small bit of staining on the right side of the grill cloth.
