Ive purchased three packs of these tungsten. They are top quality and comprable to any other tungsten in this alloy variety. I weld on stainless steel with thick and extremely thin material. I like this particular tungsten alloy because its much brighter than ceriated tungsten (grey) which my employer provides. The arc from these is also much more direct and stable. They sharpen well and stay sharper than average and they shear/break very clean/crisp with little to splintering. They’re obviously not going to stay as sharp as thoriated (red) or zirconiated alloys (white/chartreuse), but they are far better than ceriated at staying sharp. They start very well at low amperages and the arc does not wander at low amperages the way it does with Ceriated or Layzr tungsten (which are both designed for low amperages, but don’t perform well). At the time of this review I am getting these for $16.49 per 10 pack which is probably the best deal you will find anywhere, whether online or in person. I normally get this particular alloy tungsten from Welding City for $20, which I consider to be a good deal so this is even way better.
