There is much to like about this auto dispenser compared to a different brand we had that stopped working after 14 months. I’ll be comparing functionality. We’ve had this item for about a week, so its longevity for us is beyond the scope of this review.1. I appreciate the reservoir window that allows me to see how much soap is in the dispenser at a glance. Filling and refilling is straightforward.2. The dispenser spout is slightly angled away from the body, unlike our old dispenser. This makes it so much easier to activate the dispenser by hovering your hand, a dish scrubber, a pan or plate.3. The activation response is rapid. We have the dispenser set to the smallest amount (there are four settings plus a continuous activation button), and have found that dispensing several small dollops in quick succession is best for us. We prefer this over changing the amount of soap desired—literally as simple as the press of the button. The old dispenser we had came with two settings based on the distance at which you hover your hand, which was clunkier and less precise for us than this one.4. The unit itself is surprisingly light. I would have appreciated more heft, but the functionality outweighs this minor annoyance. The plastic build is fine for what it is. We have the matte silver colorway, which I expect will look nice and cleaner longer than our old dispenser which was black.5. With each use, the light indicators for battery level blinks, so we know when it’s time to recharge it. Like most auto soap dispensers, the dispenser will not work while it is charging. In contrast, our old dispenser would indicate low charge when it was close to depleted that it was sometimes inconvenient to charge when in the middle of washing items.We fully charged the battery—it arrived charged at about 75%—before filling it with soap that we mixed at about 1:4 dish soap to water. We used it moderately everyday for a little over a week and it is still close to fully charged.6. Finally, the unit comes with an 18 month warranty. Given that our old unit (different brand) lasted 14 months of daily use, this warranty is more than welcome.Overall, I recommend this dispenser. Its thoughtful design and practical functions allow us better control of the amount of soap and how it is dispensed. It has clear indicators to determine when it’s time to refill and recharge the unit, thus avoiding inconvenient surprises. Finally, the 18 month warranty provides assurance of the minimum lifetime of the unit. At this price point, we’re pleased with our purchase. [...]
